Example of use of a Golden Motors 48v 500w brushless hub motor as a generator. The wheel hub motors are excellent generators, producing tensions used at very low speed. Only you turn the pedals with one hand (~ 110 rpm of the engine) is 15V @ 3 amp (45 watts) can produce. Brushless motors are 3 phase and requires rectification diodes with 6 or (1 1 / 2) bridge rectifier. Choose one that is designed for a couple more speed, 8-9 speed / volts works best.
